On this date -March 5th 1963 Patsy Cline died in the plane crahs that also took the lives of Hawkshaw Hawkins, Cowboy Copas and the pilot Randy Hughes
so in memory of a talent hushed so young...

Randy Hughes was also a (minor) country singer who cut a few singles.He was married to the daughter of Lloyd Copas whose own recordings were made with her Dad or as a member of the Melody Melody Singers.
In other words Cathy Copas lost both her Dad and her husband in one go but fortunately she was not on the plane
That's right..and the Merry Melody singers appeared on many Nashville sessions--especailly those on Mercury.
