Eddie Cochran - Town Hall Party [February 7, 1959]

Exactly 50 years ago today--Eddie Cochran appeared on Town Hall Party. He does a superb perfomance, albeit tryting to put on a brave face as his friend was being buried in Lubbock Texas, Buddy Holly. He was interviewed on the show by Johnny Bond. Wisely, Bond did not ask any questions about Buddy, instead they talked about another one of their heroes, The singing brakeman, Jimmie Rodgers and how his music was no different than what rock n roll was. Obviously, Johnny Bond wa sa rock n roll fan who was later rewarded with a major hit "Hot Rod Lincoln"

Anyway here's Eddie......................
